The Space Flock are the birds featured in Angry Birds Space. The first name that was known was the "Lazer Bird" from the file name of images added to the Angry Birds Google+ page on February 17, 2012. The Ice Bird was mentioned in passing by a Rovio employee at SXSW. The true bird names were later revealed via AngryBirdsNest and The Daily. Every bird (except the Space Eagle and Mighty Buzzard with the latter being based off Buzz Aldrin) resemble a different Marvel or DC Comics character.

In Angry Birds Space, the Space Flock appear as the protagonists of the game with them being the Angry Birds when they passed a wormhole. In gameplay, the Space Flock debut one by one with the first being Super Red debuting in the first level and the last being Toucan Sam debuting in Froot Loops Bloopers.

Space Bomb	Bird: Bomb Same ability as the original version of Bomb the Black Bird. Except that the heat shockwave he produces causes slightly more damage.	Level 1-14
Lazer Bird	Bird: Chuck Ability similar to the original version of Chuck the Yellow Bird, except goes to where the player targets in different speed from the original version.	Level 1-20
Ice Bird	Has the ability to freeze pigs and obstacles, but can also produce a huge ice ball when you launch the Ice Bird in the Pig Dipper's water surfaces. Freeze explosion can also trigger explosive items (Example: TNT Crates).	Level 2-4 (Rescuable in the previous level)
The Incredible Terence	Bird: Terence Also known as the Monster Bird, Causes great destruction, especially making pigs jump with his shockwave.	Level 2-16
Cosmic Bubbles	Bird: Bubbles Same ability as the original version of Bubbles the Orange Bird. His blowup time is shorter and he doesn't cause any damage when deflating	Level 3-11

Space Eagle	Bird: Mighty Eagle Similar to Mighty Eagle, the Space Eagle can come from a wormhole from behind the fortress to cause massive destruction. However, the Eagle do not clear all the pigs. (Sardine Cans are free in the Space Eagle Bonus Levels)	Player Choice

• Only Lazer Bird (Lazerbeam) and The Incredible Terence (Bulk) originally had unique names while the other birds used their regular names.
