When the AllSpark crash-landed on Piggy Island, Red was transformed into the Autobird leader, Optimus Prime (also known as Optimus Prime Bird).
Appearance[]
Optimus Prime is a fusion of both his Generation 1 counterpart, such as his window chest, yellow eyes, and stomach grill, and his live-action movie counterpart, such as his semi trailer truck alt mode, flame decals, and head sculpt.
Personality[]
Optimus is a charismatic leader whose courage and compassion inspire everyone he meets. He's brave, powerful, wise, and just all-round awesome.
If he has one weakness it's that he's always focused on the well-being of his fellow Autobirds. Also, he's straightforward and to the point - so don't expect him to crack any jokes. And he sometimes loses his temper, too. Yeah, okay, so nobody’s perfect!
Optimus isn't driven to fight by hatred or vengeance, but a desire to achieve freedom for all and end the destruction the EggBots are causing. Man, he's so cool!
Actually, fighting against the EggBots is causing Optimus real problems. They're the Eggs - so they have to be protected at all costs, right? But… but, they're destroying everything and must be stopped! Aargh! My brain!
Optimus is a good, all-round fighter, with no major weaknesses. With his balance of firepower, toughness, and speed he's able to take on any situation.
His weapon takes a short time to hit its target, so it's best to focus your fire on one threat at a time. It may not do the most damage but it never overheats or needs to reload, so just keep firing![1]
Energon Optimus Prime[]
His Energon overcharged weapon is enormously powerful, but Energon is volatile, so he takes a lot more damage, too! Energon Optimus fires three lasers at once, and the weapon has a super quick reload time. Like the regular Optimus, you can focus on one enemy at a time, or, if powerful enough, you can swipe across the screen and deal with a spread of damage.[2]
Ultimate Optimus Prime[]
Warning: Variant characters are for expert players! If they complete an Event they earn loads of bonus Coins, but if they fail they get... nothing. Ouch! [3]
Epic Optimus[]
Bling bling! Check out this bad boy's gold paint job! Whoever said that money can't buy taste clearly hasn't seen this tricked out golden robot! Some say Epic Optimus is gold because he's a rare special edition, others say he tricked himself out for a career i hip hop. Rumors also have it that he stands on a battlefield, burning enemies with reflected sunlight like Archimedes. All I know, is that he's EPIC! An epic character deserves an epic weapon! Epic Optimus is the only Transformer who's epicness can turn into a tractor-beam into a weapon. He pulls enemies & blocks towards him - Perfect for toppling towards or getting a closer look at your enemy. Breaking things over your own head might seem cool, but it can be bad for your health. If you value your own health, make sure to change target before the things that you are pulling towards you smash into your face.[4]

Optimus Prime[]
Optimus Prime is the first character to be unlocked in Angry Birds Transformers. During gameplay, Optimus Prime fires a single bullet in a straight line. While not powerful, his weapon doesn't overheat and doesn't have to reload, so the player can just keep firing at whatever is targeted. As he is upgraded more, the fire rate increases and the size of the clips increases.
Energon Optimus Prime[]
Energon Optimus Prime is the 20th unlockable character on the game's map, requiring 2400 Pigs to unlock and rescue him. During gameplay, Energon Optimus Prime shares his standard counterpart, but now fires three shots at the same time. The bullets are larger in size, but now needs to be reloaded. Like the rest of the Energon characters, Energon Optimus Prime can regain health by destroying cyberformed objects, but comes to at the cost of taking more damage.
Ultimate Optimus Prime[]
Ultimate Optimus Prime is the 22nd unlockable character on the game's map, requiring 2600 Pigs to unlock and rescue him. During gameplay, Ultimate Optimus' weapon is near identical to his standard counterpart, though the clips are now larger and deal more damage to pigs and blocks. The downside is that it has a much slower fire rate. As an "Ultimate" character, Ultimate Optimus grants the player an "Ultimate Character Bonus" coins if the player completes an event, while failing the event would give the player no bonuses.
Epic Optimus[]
Epic Optimus can be unlocked either through Challenge Events for 7500 Tokens, purchasing his bundle, or from Gold Crates. During gameplay, Epic Optimus' weapon is a beam of energy similar to Grimlock's, though the weapon can drag pigs and blocks to him. This weapon can sometimes be a liability to the player, especially when at extremely low health. A tip for using Epic Optimus is to change target once the targeted object starts moving toward the player.
General Optimus Prime[]
General Optimus Prime could be unlocked from Season 1 of the War Pass. During gameplay, General Optimus Prime fires yellow arching bullets. The weapon has an Incendiary Round effect, allowing it to burn pigs and blocks.
General Optimus Prime Neon[]
General Optimus Prime Neon is the same as General Optimus Prime, though now he has the ability to regain health by destroying cyberformed objects, but also takes more damage.

Commercial appearances[]
Red got turned into Optimus Prime Bird by the power of the EggSpark. Initially clashing with Megatron Pig, the pair were interrupted by the Eggbots, who were cyberforming everything around them, creating big guns that shot at both Autobirds and Deceptihogs. Luckily, Red's new body was chock full of weaponry and he led the Autobirds and Deceptihogs to victory. (Angry Birds Transformers Cinematic Trailer)
Optimus Prime Bird hitched a ride aboard Astrotrain, who dropped him off on a small island. Upon his arrival, he was pestered by a couple of Flying Pigbots. Both of them were disabled and left behind a few laser blasts later, and Optimus Prime Bird continued on his way. A Walking Mortar Tower proved too tough of an opponent for the Autobird to handle on his own, and he called upon Megatron Pig to help him out. The two of them together brought down their foe. Optimus Prime Bird then tried to shake Megatron Pig's hand, but he was "too slow," and Megatron Pig laughed at him. (Angry Birds Transformers Comic-Con trailer)
When Optimus Prime Bird tried to show off how cool he was, the awesome score suddenly changed into some disco music. The confused Autobird tried his best to dance to the tune. (Red as Optimus Prime)
Megatron Pig and Optimus Prime Bird exchanged a friendly fist-bump as they drove to the EggSpark. Megatron Pig reached it first... and instead of helping Optimus Prime Bird up next to him, laughed in his face and kicked him down as the EggSpark upgraded him into Dark Megatron Pig! The big jerk then drove off! Optimus Prime Bird fetched Heatwave Bird and Jazz Bird to raid the Deceptihogs' headquarters. Upon their arrival, they found the Deceptihogs using the EggSpark as a dance light. It was all very silly. (Deceptihogs' Revenge)
Optimus Prime Bird ran a marathon across the countryside, meeting up with Megatron Pig, Arcee Bird and Airachnid Bird as they all completed their workouts. The four of them then jumped up in the air in a cheer. Freezeframe. (Arcee and Airachnid join the team!)
Arcee Bird and Optimus Prime Bird were on the run from some Flying Pigbots when they came to a cliff edge. They tried to fight back, only to realize they were out of ammo! Thankfully, Bluestreak Bird showed up and helped them out! (Meet Bluestreak and Prowl!)

Trivia[]
- Prior to version 2.26.0.2, there was a bug in Epic Optimus' bundle where his associated accessory (which is his Star Saber accessory) was absent. Attempting to buy the bundle would cause the game to crash. This bug has been fixed in an update.
