Slash (born Saul Hudson, July 23, 1965) is a British-American musician and songwriter best known as the guitarist of Guns 'n Roses, Velvet Revolver and Slash's Snakepit, as well as for his own solo work. In January 2013, to coincide with Angry Birds Space's Pig Dipper update, he composed his own version of the game's theme song, which replaced the regular theme song until it returned with the Cosmic Crystals update in September that year. You can still hear his version of the Angry Birds Space theme song by entering Pig Dipper.
A Slash Bird character was made around the same time. However, this bird is unplayable and was only used for promotional materials.
In May 2013, a limited edition Slash Bird T-shirt was made available from the Angry Birds Showroom website. Around the same time, Slash's Angry Birds Space theme was released as a digital download from the same website.
- Slash is the fifth bird based on a real person. The first three were the Developer Birds (based on Peter Vesterbacka, Jaako Iisalo and Serdar Soganci), the fourth was Freddie Mercury and the sixth is Ayrton Senna.
- Slash appears as being colored red in-game, but orange in promotional materials.
- Slash himself is a fan of Angry Birds, which is why he did his version of the theme song.
