Southern Sea - 1 is the thirty-sixth level of Southern Sea in Angry Birds Epic. It is a Normal stage. When this level is finished, the player may spin for 3 Sea Berry. Pirate Captain is introduced. He is basically a weaker Captain Red Beard.

Battle Hint[]

Pirates (Immune to negative effects)

Pirates use Dirty Tricks and are immune to any negative effects.

Hints: Simple attacks are the most effective to overcome these mean fellas. They are vulnerable to support abilities like damage reflection.



Cutscenes[]

The first ship has sunk. The birds will now make the second one sink.

The player has to engage 1 Smutje, 1 Pirate Captain and 1 Ship's Kobold. Each enemy's stats are shown below.

Has an identical variant called Water Horror, which makes an appearance in Chronicle Cave's Misty Hollow.


Strategy[]

Warning: The Smutje may activate "Emergency Provisions" to him, to Pirate Captain, or to the Ship's Kobold, so any one of these pigs can heal 64 health for three turns. If you are using The Blues, you must use them as Tricksters so you can dispel either the Smutje, Pirate Captain, or the Ship's Kobold. Also, the Pirate Captain may summon reinforcements that will increase the amount of dealt to your birds.

Choose Matilda in Druid, Red in Samurai and Bomb in Pirate. Use Bomb's secondary skill when it has been expired, then, attack every turn with them (Defeat Smutje first, then Pirate Captain and then the Ship's Kobold). When Smutje is almost ready to attack, use Red and Matilda's secondary skills on the bird with the lowest health. Give the Rage Chili to Matilda when it is full. Repeat this over until you win or lose.

In Summary[]

Smutje will heal himself or one of the other pigs, so beat him first. After that, beat Pirate Captain.
